Non-Discrimination Statement

RAVENSWOOD CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT prohibits unlawful discrimination against any protected group as identified under Education Code 200 and 220 and Government Code 11135, and Title IX, including actual or perceived age, ancestry, color, ethnic group identification or ethnicity, gender, gender identity, gender expression, genetic information, immigration status, marital or pregnancy/parental status, medical information, race, religion, nationality or national origin, physical or mental disability, sex, sexual orientation, or association with a person or group with one of more of these actual or perceived characteristics in any District program or activity that received or benefits from state financial assistance, including athletic programs.

RCSD programs, activities, practices, and employment shall be free from unlawful discrimination, harassment (including sexual harassment), intimidation, and bullying based on a person’s actual or perceived actual or perceived age, ancestry, color, ethnic group identification or ethnicity, gender, gender identity, gender expression, genetic information, immigration status, marital or pregnancy/parental status, medical information, race, religion, nationality or national origin, physical or mental disability, sex, sexual orientation, or association with a person or group with one of more of these actual or perceived characteristics.

The nondiscrimination policy shall apply to all acts related to school activity or school attendance within a school under the jurisdiction of the Superintendent of the school district. All school personnel are required to take immediate steps to intervene when it is safe to do so and when they witness an act of discrimination, harassment, intimidation, or bullying. If you believe you have been subjected to discrimination, harassment (including sexual harassment), intimidation, or bullying, you should immediately contact the school site principal and/or the Director of Human Resources.

El DISTRITO ESCOLAR RAVENSWOOD prohíbe la discriminación ilegal contra cualquier grupo protegido como se identifica bajo el Código de Educación 200 y 220 y el Código de Gobierno 11135, y el Título IX, incluyendo edad actual o percibida, ascendencia, color, identificación del grupo étnico o etnia, identidad de género, y expresión de género, información genética, estado migratorio, estado marital o embarazo / estado parental, información médica, raza, religión, nacionalidad u origen nacional, discapacidad física o mental, sexo, orientación sexual o asociación con una persona o grupo con una de estas características reales o percibidas en cualquier programa o actividad del Distrito que recibió o se beneficia de la asistencia financiera del estado, incluyendo los programas deportivos.

Los programas, actividades, prácticas y empleo del RCSD estarán libres de discriminación ilegal, hostigamiento (incluido el acoso sexual), Amenaza e intimidación en función de la edad real o percibida como real, ascendencia, color, identificación del grupo étnico o etnia, género, identidad de género, expresión del género, información genética, estado migratorio, estado marital o de embarazo /estado parental, información médica, raza, religión, nacionalidad u origen nacional, discapacidad física o mental, sexo, orientación sexual o asociación con una persona o grupo con una o más de estas características reales o percibidas.

La Reglamentación de no discriminación se aplicará en todos los actos relacionados con la actividad escolar o la asistencia a la escuela dentro de una escuela bajo la jurisdicción del Superintendente del distrito escolar. Se requiere que todo el personal escolar tome medidas inmediatas para intervenir cuando sea seguro hacerlo y cuando sean testigos de un acto de discriminación, acoso, amenaza, o  intimidación. Si usted cree que ha sido objeto de discriminación, hostigamiento (incluyendo acoso sexual), amenaza o intimidación, debe comunicarse de inmediato con el director de la escuela y / o el Director de Recursos Humanos.
